Sponser a child

We are pleased to sponsor ‘James Musomba Mutinda’ through

Plan International UK

PLAN International helps create lasting improvements to the lives of children, their families and communities in over 40 developing countries. As a leading child-focused development charity, PLAN improves the health, education and living conditions for an estimated 10 million people worldwide. Non-sectarian and non-political, PLAN's belief is in working together with communities to identify their needs and meet them in the most appropriate, long-term and sustainable ways. PLAN was founded in 1937 and now raises funds in fourteen developed countries. The majority of funds are raised through individual sponsors, but PLAN also offers companies and trusts the flexibility to select the location and type of projects for funding.

We are pleased to sponsor ‘Kyko’ the chimpanzee, and ‘Gordon’ the orangutan, through

Monkeyworld

Monkeyworld is an Ape Rescue Centre, based in Wool, Dorset. Their mission is to assist governments to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild. At the centre, the refugees of this barbaric trade are rehabilitated into natural living groups.

graphics/chimps/kyko_new_sm.jpg Kyko

Kyko is a male chimpanzee who was used as a photographer’s prop in Spain. He arrived at the park on 05/07/91 and he was born during 1987. His previous owner in Spain dragged him around on roller skates, which did not fit his feet and, as a result, Kyko was crippled when he first arrived in the park. With proper exercise, Kyko’s feet and legs are fine now and he is a very sociable chimp that gets along with all the others.

Gordon was born on 09/12/97 at Monkey World. He’s Amy’s son but was born prematurely and had to spend the first month of his life in an incubator. The keepers cared for Gordon when he was first born but he has now been reintroduced to his mother and all the other orangutans.
